Highlights from my second trip to Shiraz, Iran. I spent a full week training at the Shiraz Zurkhaneh Academy.

An amazing experience.

The Professor and Head Coach

The Professor was a tough man to please. Particularly during Shena training where I kept lifting my heels off the ground as I practised split pushups.

He would stand by my feet and put his foot on them every time my heels came up which was painful. The first day was hard, but I soon learnt my lesson.

Seyed my Training Instructor and Shahrokh the Drummer

One on one training with Seyed was excellent, we ironed out many details of techniques. Shahrokh provided the drumming which really helped during practice.

Ali – Guide and Translator

Ali – Was my guide and translator, he was a huge asset in helping me understand what the Professor and Seyed we explaining during my time at the Shiraz Zurkhaneh Academy.
